As many of us have come to appreciate, the holiday season is the perfect opportunity to wind down and spend quality time with your loved ones.
It’s also a great opportunity to practise prioritising yourself and your health, particularly after a stressful lead up to Christmas!
That’s why today we want to help you to stay healthy, pain-free and stress-free this festive season with some of our top tips!
Christmas planning
Take extra care with activities such as Christmas shopping and decorating, by avoiding putting too much stress on your body. Try to balance the weight evenly, make more trips and keep a straight back when loading/unloading the car.
Prevent and relieve back pain
Include regular back strengthening exercises and stretches into your daily routine, or whenever you have a spare moment in all the Christmas chaos! Simple tips such as trying to stay aware of your posture as you’re lounging and relaxing with family can make all the difference to any potential back/shoulder pain.
Schedule time for relaxation
Don’t be afraid to take a break - you’ve certainly earned it! The holiday season can bring stress in its own way, so it’s important to take time for your own self care. Whether that’s exercise or a bubble bath, schedule some time for yourself over this festive period.
Remember to have fun!
Some people are so worried about having the perfect Christmas, they forget to enjoy it along the way! If there’s a task that needs to be done, why not seek a fresh perspective and try to handle it in a different way? If your to-do list looks too overwhelming, instead of trying to delete the least-important task, why not add something fun on there to take away that stress?
Christmas is a time to rest, relax and rejuvenate too. Don’t let any holiday stress overshadow that!
Don’t forget - we’ll be here waiting for you in the New Year, helping you to start 2023 fresh and ready to get Back in Balance. Take our quiz to see which service is best suited for you!
