Do you know which massage services you need?

With exciting new changes taking place here at the Balance 360 clinic, we’ve been able to make some progressive updates to our existing Sports & Remedial Massage service. As a result, we’re proud to now be able to offer different types of massage, catering to our diverse customer base and a wide range of needs and goals.

At a glance, you may not realise how our massages and treatments differ. So today, we’re going to give you a full overview of what each one entails, and why you should book. If you would like to know more about what massage services are available to you, keep on reading and learn more about our clinic and practitioners’ unique offering.

Therapeutic Massage

A Therapeutic Massage is a relaxation-focused treatment, designed for general wellbeing and the upkeep of muscle maintenance, through a combination of soothing and therapeutic techniques.

If you want to induce relaxation and reduce stress, this is the massage treatment for you. Some additional benefits include relieving tension, improving circulation and restoring balance, leaving you feeling refreshed and revitalised.

Remedial & Soft Tissue Massage

Our Remedial Massage service can be used as a complementary therapy, working alongside your treatment to help postural problems and helping to remove the tension from muscles that arise from day to day life. During this treatment, a wide range of massage techniques are used to treat different muscular problems. Some of the benefits include improving healing after injury, increased tissue elasticity, and decreased muscle tension.

Similarly, a Soft Tissue Massage is a targeted clinical massage, focusing on the outer layers of muscles, utilising varying pressures within massage strokes, depths and durations. It offers a relaxing experience, with the added focus on reducing minor muscle tensions, reducing tightness, and improving flexibility.

You will find that Remedial Massage and Soft Tissue Massage are grouped together due to their similarities.

Sports & Deep Tissue Massage

A Sports & Deep Tissue Massage is a type of massage treatment that focuses on treating pain, deep muscle relief, and a reduced range of motion. It uses firm pressure and advanced techniques to break down knots, ease stiffness, and restore balance, as well as easing rehabilitation and recovery.

Our therapists will use techniques applied with deep pressure and at a slow rate, in order to reach deep muscles and break down those harder areas, offering a hands-on treatment for tension relief and muscular maintenance.

This type of massage is also designed to support recovery from injuries, aid athletic performance, or relieve general muscular tightness. For sportspeople, it can be used as a regular part of a training programme, to help with recovery, but also as a performance enhancement. But although the name implies it is for sporting individuals, it is a massage treatment appropriate to all.

Our Massage Therapists

To support our extensive range of massage services, we have a number of practitioners at the clinic who are well-equipped to take on your massage needs. When booking, you can see exactly which service is offered by which practitioner, but as an overview you can book in with:

We’re very excited to welcome Léa and Charlotte to the team, and as such, we are now able to offer an extensive range of massage services.

All of our practitioners work collaboratively with each other and in the course of a treatment with them, they will discuss if specific aspects you are looking to address would be best suited by another skill we have in the clinic!

If you’re unsure about which massage service you should book in for, feel free to get in touch or take our service recommendation quiz to guide you to the right place.
